At the age of 19, Mitchell is stable Apprentice for Chris Waller Racing and his association with the camp has been good since he won a Saturday race in town at Rosehill for us in July 2007, the first leg of his first ever winning double at a City weekend meeting.
“Mitchell has been a great addition to our stable,” explained Chris.
“He started off under the guidance of John Hawkes at Warwick Farm when he was in charge on the Ingham team at Warwick Farm and then moved on to John O’Shea.
“Since he has joined us Mitchell has developed even further, had a bit of time off to assess his future, and now he is focused on making himself one of the top Apprentices and then Jockeys in the country.”
Beadman is the son of champion Jockey Darren Beadman who formerly had a great association with Chris Waller Racing before he headed to Hong Kong to take up a riding contract.
“Chris has been like a second father to me since I’ve been associated with him as his stable Apprentice,” said Mitchell Beadman.
“He and his Assistant Trainer, Paul Shailer, have been giving me plenty of advice and help and all I want to do now is make sure I live up to my end of the bargain.
“The stable is established as one of the top three City stables in Sydney now and there are plenty of opportunities both in town and at the Provincials.
“The future is looking extremely bright.”
