Training Facilities

The Rosehill Gardens racecourse is not only a superior racing venue but benchmark training establishment. Based only 20km from the Sydney CBD the training centre we have the benefit of a variety of training tracks and facilities to ensure our horse’s are the number one priority.

Based on the track Rosehill has available five separate tracks for work including the turf course proper (2048m x 30m) which can be used weekly for galloping. We also have access to an additional turf training track (1538m x 27m) which is also used for barrier trials as well gallops daily. Further to this we use a sand track (1712m x 7m), cinders track (1357m x 7m) plus a pro ride track (1436m x 7m) used for work under all weather conditions.

Rosehill complements the training infrastructure with scheduled weekly jump outs, fortnightly barrier trials and a full time maintenance team employed both on course and around the stables.

In addition to this CWR also has access to a modern 50 metre swimming pool maintained by the Australian Turf Club which is used in both morning and afternoon.

Further to this Chris Waller Racing also owns a new high-tech horse treadmill incorporating programs for horses at various stages of their preparation.

From this it can be seen why Chris Waller Racing maintains the benchmark position in horse training with some of the most comprehensive training facilities in Australia.
